When we began this campaign, we expected to conduct it like unfunded activists. Over the years we have become accustomed to confronting well-funded opposition with little more than a few laser printers, solidarity, and a demand for justice. So we were a bit surprised when friends, old & new, from all over town began to volunteer not only time, but also monetary contributions. We are very grateful. We are doing our best to get the most bang for your bucks! I especially wish to thank the Stonewall Democrats of San Antonio(SDSA) for their endorsement! Among the various groups who conducted interviews, SDSA was the only one who chose to publicly endorse the candidate who has supported their interests, even though I have not been anointed financially by Big Business As Usual. During these final three weeks we will continue to reach out to the rank and file of labor, environmental, and social justice organizations through block walking and carefully targeted mail outs.
